This double bass has a two piece figured maple swell back with tight curl: figured maple ribs with similar wood: two piece medium grained spruce pine table. The instrument is labelled The Concert Double Bass. The Bass is covered in a medium red brown spirit varnish. The condition of the instrument is good. There is no date on the lable but it has been estimated to be circa 1910. |
