| French | Full size violin with one-piece back, French, built possibly around 1925, by Nicolas Aldric, Père. The inside label reads : "modele de Rue de la Gare, No. 71
Nicolas Aldric, Père. B.S. Luthier à Nantes. an" The violin was recently serviced, and has a new bridge, pegs and chin rest. It is undamaged and shows the usual signs of wear for its age - mainly the varnish has scraped off around some of the edges, particularly on the bowing side. I rescued this violon from a charity shop and am selling it because I already have my own two violins. It would make an ideal learner violin with an inspiring sound. If you would like to try the violin for sound and feel please contact me. The violin comes with an old but sound case. |
