Hand Made Mandolins, Mandolas and citterns made & repaired. Trained at South Merton College, London in musical instrument making and repair, I started making mandolins for folk musician friends. Now retired, I have set up a fully equipped workshop and can make instruments of the mandolin family such as mandolins, mandolas, celtic bouzoukis, citterns, and even the odd guitar! I also carry out repairs and restorations, setups, refretting and reconditioning. I make instruments to order, hand-made to your specifications and design. You can select your wood types, inlays, tuners, frets and action. It takes around 2-3 months to build an instrument, and I like to meet potential buyers to discuss design and requirements. Uluru Made using the best Hawaiian Koa and decent exotic tone woods, along with the luthier shop skills, Uluru handmade ukuleles. All solid Premium Koa body. Gloss finish. Mahogany neck. Wood and abalone body binding. Ebony fingerboard and bridge. Bone nut and saddle. Abalone position dots and rosette. Aquila strings. Direct tuners, friction pegs. Uluru Lehua 1 Handmade soprano ukulele. This an absolutely beautiful instrument which I don't really want to get rid of! I'm now playing a baritone ukulele using guitar chords, so find it difficult changing from soprano chords to guitar chords - so it sits in the corner not being used. The condition is immaculate as it has been loved and cared for. A hard case is included. These ukuleles are made in Australia using Koa. Even playing in a group of 40+ the sound of this ukulele can be recognised over all the other ukuleles and everyone loves it.
